  3. First Stop – Namibian Ngoma Border Post:
    • The border post opens at 07:00 AM and can be cleared in less than 15 minutes.
    • No paperwork is required on the Namibian or Botswana side; simply stamp your passport at immigration.
    • Drive 1 km through no man’s land and over the Chobe River to the Botswana Border Control office.
  4. Second Stop – Botswana Ngoma Border Post:
    • Clear immigration with your passport and specify your destination.
    • Drivers only: Buy a dual-entry road permit for your vehicle from the Botswana customs office (approximately 350 Pula). Payment can be made in cash or via swiping facilities.

    • You will be entering Chobe Park and need to register your vehicle at two clearly marked gates.
  6. Third Stop – Kazungula Border Post:
    • Upon arrival at the Kazungula T-junction, turn left towards the new Kazungula Bridge and head to the Kazungula One-Stop Border Control Facility on the Zambian side.
    • Make your way past the waiting trucks slowly.
    • Ensure you have all required documents.

  7. Welcome to Zambia:
    • Exit the Kazungula One-Stop Border Control Facility and travel 2 km north.
    • At the T-junction, turn right and travel 59 km to Livingstone.
    • In Livingstone, turn right at the Shoprite (Mosi-oa-Tunya Shopping Mall) and follow the tar road for approximately 10 km to the Zimbabwe border post and Victoria Falls.
    • If all goes well, you should see Victoria Falls by 10:00 AM, having spent NAD1500 to get there (excluding fuel).

  • Entry Fee: 500 Kwacha per person (approximately US$20), entrance located 100 meters before the border crossing.

Now what?

Situated in the Sikunga Conservancy, the joint efforts of Kubu & Kwena, the Nwanyi Angling Club, and community stakeholders have eradicated hundreds of kilometres of illegal fishing nets in recent years. It is mind-boggling to witness the positive impact of these efforts on the river. Now the responsibility is on us!

Respect for the river and its wildlife ensures that future generations can experience the thrill of fishing on these waters. Let’s make every catch and release a testament to our commitment to conservation.

"In the end, we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand and we will understand only what we are taught."

“We had a truly fantastic time at Kuba and Kwena with our family.

We swam in a cage in the river with crocs close..ish by, the kids caught 3 nice tigers and we explored the area on mountain (fat) bikes, got in some amazing birding, and most importantly chilled and enjoyed family time with beautiful views.

Johann and Michelle were excellent hosts with a clear passion for what they are doing.”
